Tanyard/Franklin Cemetery Clean-up Day

In partnership with Off-Kiltered Riding Club, James R. Trader Foundation For Maryland Burial Sites, Linthicum Chapel Cemetery, Inc. and Synn Crafter, Inc.
Limited parking so carpooling is necessary
Location: Near 5905 Deale-Beach Road, Deale, Maryland 20733 – LOOK FOR SIGNS!
Tools needed: Heavy Work Gloves, Rakes, Chain Saws, Lopers and Trimmers. Don’t forget your Insect Repellent!
Upon arrival each volunteer and organization must sign in.
A short Ceremonial Blessing will be given by Clergy from Franklin United Methodist Church and visiting Clergy from Off- Kiltered Motorcycle Club.
You will be given a brief history of the cemetery.
You will be assigned to a section in the cemetery that is prioritized.
The prioritized section is the fencing along the main entrance of the cemetery.
If you decide or are assigned to work on another section of the cemetery. Please be aware that there
are many hidden graves.
Please, seek out and find a Team Member. We will flag additional graves.
Please be aware that you may find objects that resemble burial markers. Please do not disregard them.
We are in need of volunteers who have pick-up trucks to haul debris to the local Land Fill, which is about 5 miles away.
